Looting

"Robbing the Heart: Looting the Iraq Museum".

This series was inspired by the tragic looting of ancient artifacts from the Iraq Museum in Baghdad during 2003.

I was teaching Ancient Art History at West Los Angeles College during the exact time these artifacts were being stolen. It felt like the art pages were being ripped out of our text book just as these important works were ripped out of our collective art history.
